We are currently seeking a Senior Combat Systems Engineer to support our Washington, DC customer. The Senior Combat Systems Engineer will perform various engineering duties including but not limited to designing, constructing, and testing. They apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. They contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. They will conduct basic and applied research to evaluate the adaptability of materials and equipment. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. * Acts as the gatekeeper and subject matter expert for Navy Weapon Systems policy to NIPO and other DoD/DoN organizations; * Supports policy development for IWS systems as appropriate. * Provide systems engineering support to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) acquisition program office. * Support the International Engagement efforts and interface with PEO directorates as well as the Missile Defense Agency, N96, N98, PMA 298 and NIPO. * Provide direct on-site support to Major Program Manager for special projects. Support the development, review and adjudication of US Navy policy as it relates to foreign countries and technologies. * Prepare formal requests for policy and assist in the development of Technology Transfer Security Assistance Review Board (TTSARB) policy documents and case-by-case (CBC) policy assessments and Memorandums for the Record. Must be familiar with DoD 5230.28 Directive to Perform engineering assessments of US technologies for foreign military sales. * Participate in the planning for system installations, system integration, systems engineering and testing events in support of the sale or transfer of systems to Allied navies. Provide direct policy liaison with international organizations. Senior Engineers must have experience with engineering and technical experience with US shipboard combat system including Aegis, Standard Missile (SM), Radars, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Electronic Warfare (EW); Education Requirement: * A) a high school degree, or a GED, and more than twenty (20) years of relevant engineering experience, OR * B) a bachelor''s degree in a relevant field and fifteen (15) years of relevant engineering experience, OR * C) a master''s degree in a relevant field and ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
