Manufacturing Engineer (30262)

A global leader of Automotive Parts Manufacturing Company in the Knoxville, TN area is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. A successful candidate will have 1 year of Manufacturing Engineer in the Automotive Industry. This is a full-time Exempt position with a great benefit package including 401K.Responsibilities for Manufacturing Engineer: Plan and implements machine and process improvement (related to safety, quality and cost).Analyze and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow.Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.Confer with vendors to determine product specifications.Conduct root-cause analysis and countermeasure implementationArrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer:Bachelor''s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferredAt least 1 year of Manufacturing Engineer experience in preferably Automotive industryAt least 1-2 years'' of engineering experiencePLC knowledgePossess strong interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5SFamiliar with Toyota Production System PrinciplesProficient in 2D and 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or other design software)Timely mannered completion and organization skillAbility to complete projects under budgetMust be able to work responsibly, effectively, and independently when neededMust be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environmentKnowledge of Japanese language skill is a big plusThis position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
