Position OverviewThe Communications Manager for the Better World Campaign will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Better World Campaign''s social media and email-marketing strategies. They will create, edit and post web content to the campaign''s primary social media outlets, and manage its email list. They will assist the Director, Content and Engagement Strategy, in developing new digital strategies to further BWC''s grassroots engagement and capture the attention of policymakers surrounding issue area priorities.The ideal candidate will have a strong capacity for the day-to-day execution of BWC''s multifaceted communications and digital platforms, as well as a desire to engage in long-term strategic communications planning to expand the campaign''s reach.This position is based in Washington, DC.Essential FunctionsCo-Manage BWC''s in-house list-growth strategy and advertising campaignsBecome BWC''s liaison with the events team, helping to coordinate invitations, attendee lists, and logistics for all events. Absent the involvement of the UNF events team, secure venue, manage logistics and execute high-level salon dinners with Members of CongressDevelop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on all BWC communications activities with direction and oversight from the Director, Content and Engagement StrategyManage the intern search process and oversee day-to-day functions of BWC communications internsEnsure day-to-day content and curation of BWC''s digital propertiesCreate social media content for all platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTubeExpand and maintain an active and engaged email list. Responsibilities include drafting and coding emails, creating targeted distribution groups, creating landing pages or petitions, reporting on metrics, and executing paid acquisition campaigns, in coordination with the Director of Content and Engagement StrategyLead writing and editing communications content, including social media calendars, emails, blog posts, and petitions, in coordination with the Director, Content and Engagement StrategyLead the web development process, including writing, editing, and posting new web content on the existing Better World Campaign website, as well as conceptualizing and launching new websites and features in consultation with BWC Comms staff and outside vendorsProduce graphics for use on social media channels, in advocacy emails, and on the website as neededLead in the development of BWC press kits and toolkitsWork with the Public Affairs team and campaign staff to keep branding and messaging consistent online and offlineMaintain working knowledge of the UNF agreement process (for both contracts and grants), and when to utilize the proper templates accordingly. (As applicable to the role)Drafting and reviewing agreements and maintaining an understanding of all agreement terms and applicable flow-downs, consulting with UNF''s finance/contracts team as needed. (As applicable to the role)Attending training sessions provided by UNF''s contracts team to maintain and keep up to date with UNF''s current policies and procedures. (As applicable to the role)Maintain a strong knowledge of UNF''s Salesforce database to be able to process and track agreements, extract information and prepare reports.
