Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

This opportunity is open due to our extensive growth over the last few years as our life saving systems (Pulmonary and cardiac applications - ISO 13485 class II and III) have taken off. We are in the midst of doubling our production facility to meet present demand and gear up for 2nd generation products.This role is heavily focused on developing the next generation systems.DUTIES:1) Lead development of next generation capital equipment for our new product lines.2) Work with external industrial design teams and OEM manufacturers to develop electromechanical sub-systems.3)Responsible for designing, building, and testing new concepts and iterating through the design process.4)Demonstrate subsystem reliability including development of test fixtures and protocols.REQUIREMENTS:1)Minimum of 8 years of product development experience as mechanical engineer with experience in an ISO 13485 environment 2)Expert in Solidworks and design of injection molded, machined, and sheet metal components.3)Excellent mechanical engineering fundamentals and analysis including tolerance analysis skills including GD&T & FEA.4)Knowledgeable in plastic joining techniques including ultrasonic/RF/laser welding and adhesive/solvent bonding.This is your chance to join a smaller thriving organization and help initiate an explosion of growth in a niche life-saving market.
