You are results-driven and help translate use cases straight into API contract. You drive query performance cost analysis and security requirements for individual components, advocate for best practices, error handling and client integration options. You constantly learn and improve the design and process as you go, quickly prototype sample solutions in Node.js or Spring Boot. You will work within a community of architecture leaders, charged with establishing and evolving a unified architecture vision.Roles/Responsibilities:Providing Leadership for Node.js/Spring Boot/DGS GraphQL Federation design and implementationOwnership of highly critical production systemEnabling its high availability and throughputCollaboration with teams responsible for other foundational systemsSupporting product teams in GraphQL learning and migration, championing GraphQL federation and schema designAdvocating for GraphQL adoption and best practicesJob Requirements:5-7+ years of development experience with production applications/systems2+ years of experience working with Node.js and/or Spring BootExperience designing and documenting public APIsPreferred hands-on experience working with Federated GraphQL and schema designWorking knowledge of Java and/or KotlinExperience in building large scale distributed systemsPreferred fluency in TypeScript, Docker and KubernetesUnderstanding of Service Oriented Architecture and MicroservicesLeadership skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholdersAbility to mentor and coach new or less experienced team membersB.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desiredBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
