Summary:This position is responsible for administering and maintaining the workstations, servers, and local networks corporate headquarters. The network administrator will work as part of a Network team with junior and senior members to support ongoing operations. The network administrator will also manage participation in multiple simultaneous Information Technology projects involving other departments. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience implementing and maintaining heterogenous server technologies, troubleshooting network infrastructure, and performing end-user workstation support, along with a willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support remote facilities. Key Responsibilities:Install and maintain network hardware and softwareAdminister servers, desktops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, desktop phones, and smartphones. Ensure workstation IT equipment requirements are set up for new team members on the first day of employment.Resolve user issues or escalate help desk tickets from local and remote users on Windows and macOS workstationsAssign access to resources by request in adherence to security policiesMonitor hardware for security, availability, and performanceProvide evening and weekend support on a call rotation with the Network teamGain proficiency in new technologies with independent research or minimal trainingParticipate in and lead Network projects involving new software and hardwareWork cohesively with IT staff, departmental managers, and project managers on those projectsDemonstrate new hardware and software to end users and team membersDocument and diagram new technologiesMaintain network security through implementing policies, patching, and installing antivirus softwareMaintain and adhere to departmental budgets for hardware and software Skills / Requirements:Foremost, a strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skillsThe ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support remote sites in the United StatesAptitude to independently research and suggest new technologiesExperience working with a help desk ticketing system such as ServiceDesk PlusExperience administering a Windows environment with AD, DNS, DHCP, and group policyExperience with Windows 10, macOS, and Windows 2019 serversExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-VKnowledge of the Office365 suite, Exchange Online, and SharePoint OnlineWorking knowledge of the IBM POWER8 mainframeWorking knowledge of the Cisco Unified Communications phone systemFamiliarity with tape backups, restores, and rotations using technologies such as CommvaultFamiliarity with Cisco switches, routers, and firewallsCollege degree and/or relevant industry certification, such as CCNA, are a plusAbility to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds - provided by Dice
