Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.Siemens is looking for a Supplier Quality professional with a very strong quality background in problem solving and issue resolution on supplier parts.The position directly reports to Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Supplier Quality Manager, selected candidate will be an individual contributor with no direct reports.ResponsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work and prioritize in a fast paced environment are essential for success in this position.Assessment, qualification and development of Electromechanical system suppliers.Evaluates supplier''s systems, products, components, and applications against technical and quality requirements. Review and implement an effective PPAP process at Siemens suppliers.Applies preventive quality methods sought at risk minimization. Designs, maintains and improves specific Quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier categorization.Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Siemens requirements.Drive "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base.Develop methods for inspection, testing, sampling and training. Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Develop long term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction itiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Specific Job RequirementsBachelor''s degree in Mechanical or equivalent.Proven experience taking care of sophisticated electromechanical systems in Quality field related to Rail Industry.At least 5 years of working experience in new product development, testing and Inspection.Multi-functional work experience in major areas such as product engineering, supply management, project management, manufacturing, or operationsExperience problem solver as an individual and leading a group, soft skills should include highly credible standout colleague based on related experience and strong written, verbal communication skills, patient, committed, and able to apply resources outside quality area.
