Infrastructure Manager OverviewThis position is directly responsible for the leadership and direct management of focused initiates set forth by the Sr. Director, Information Technology.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership for technology and operations globally and the development of all associated job functions to mitigate IT obsolescence and interoperability risks and apply proactive and preventive approaches.Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use.Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.Provides ''ownership'' of problems through final resolution.Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers and their associated operating systems and software. Responsible for network technology in on-site and off-site data centers.Oversee Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity management and ensure recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization''s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities.Establishes budgetary requirements for equipment replacement. Coordinates with other departments to understand and meet their requirements.Establishes and controls systems access and security.Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.Direct and administrate a contingent of infrastructure team members, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective petenciesDemonstrates Technical proficiency in the following areas:Leadership and/or certifications in disciplines directly affiliated with running large, enterprise IT operations.Significant knowledge and experience with IT operations and the various disciplines within it.Strong knowledge of mainstream operating systems including Windows, Linux, VMWare and Citrix.Strong knowledge of computing devices and networking technologies.Proficient knowledge and understanding of network security tools and security practices.Must be well versed in Microsoft networking, including Active Directory, domain management, domain migrations, group policy, O365 hybrid and security.Solid understanding of computer networks inclusive of routers, switches, firewalls, IDS, NAS, DNS, DHCP, SSL, VPN, TCP/IP and IP subnetting.Experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, etc.Demonstrates experience and proficiency in the following soft skills:Outstanding communication skills both oral and writtenTeamwork and collaborationSelf-discipline and focusCreative problem-solvingAnalytical and organizational skillsResults drivenStrong customer service orientationQualificationsMinimum Qualifications and Skills:5 years of relevant work/management experienceA bachelor''s degree in computer information systems, computer science or a related disciplineExceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishmentsProject Management certification desired but not required - provided by Dice
