What you will do: • Provide and implement performance tuning recommendations of all components in Exadata database machine.• Advise, provide guidance, and develop Disaster Recovery strategies for the Exadata Database machine.• Involved in designing/implementing Exadata solutions• Configure Exadata to meet company internal security requirement.• Build Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Database Cloud Control Who You AreCandidate for this role must have:• Five years of experience with Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) and GRID.• Four years of experience with Exadata upgrading and patching (PaaS).• Proficient with Oracle Exadata machines architecture (x7, x8, x9)• Applying QFSP Patches without the help from Oracle Platinum Support.• Experience in Troubleshooting issues during QFSDP patching.• Experience in working with Oracle in supporting new Exadata build activities.• Exadata upgrade experience, Resource Management [ IORM and DBRM], Exadata alerts remediation.• Upgrade and Patching support for OS, IB Switch, Storage and database nodes.• Exadata maintenance (HBA maintenance + power maintenance), Disk maintenance (Faulty Disk Replace, Cell Server restore from corruption/failure).• Experience in Configuring ASM disk''s with failure groups.• Harden Exadata and Database(s) based on DOD STIG for ATO (Authorized to operate). • Apply KSPPLICE Updates as needed. • Implement Security Controls in all databases (TDE, TCPS). • Document all steps and created a SOP for future upgrades. • Patch Exadata/ZFS every quarter Manually • Develop a comprehensive plan to patch Exadata. • Apply Security patches every quarter within 30 days of it being released• Strong UNIX expertise (Linux)• Familiar with CRSCTL/SRVCTL/DBCLI/CELLCLI• Migrated OS File system storage to ASM with minimal downtime.• SQL Tuning, End-user tuning and troubleshooting using various tools like EXPLAIN PLAN, AUTOTRACE, SQL TRACE, TKPROF, AWR, ADDM, ASH, v$ performance views.• Proficient in Performance Tuning the applications and database proactively using STATSPACK, AWR, ADDM.• Experience in Database Security and Auditing.• First hands-on experiences in software and firmware maintenance of both the Database and Storage servers in the Exadata database machine including upgrades and patching.• Experience preferred with:o Oracle Data Vaulto GoldenGateo Data Guardo ZFS Appliance Essential Requirements:• Must be US Citizen• Public Trust Security clearance required or be able to obtain one• Must have a bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience; Master''s Degree preferred Additional Requirement:• Possess the Exadata Admin Cert In addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:• Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients• Good analytical and problem-solving skills• Good communication skills• Leadership and organizational skills• Ability to work in a team environment Joining DXC connects you to brilliant people who embrace change and seize opportunities to advance their careers and amplify customer success.
