Hours of Work :8AM to 5PMDays Of Week :M-FWork Shift :Job Description :Your Job:Manages and directs operational functions within The Liver Institute (MTP Clinic), including clinical and non-clinical staff supervision. Works independently and interdependently with hospital and corporate systems to ensure efficient, cost effective, quality patient care with optimal outcomes. Supports and promotes the vision, mission and strategic plans of Methodist Health System (MHS).Your Job Requirements:Education:Bachelors degree required.B. Licenses and/or Certifications Required:Current RN license in the State of Texas.Your Job Responsibilities:Operational OversightOrchestrates and oversees daily operations of the Liver Institute (MTP Practice).Ensures efficient and effective operations, delivery of quality health care services, and ethical business practices.Ensures best practices for quality customer service and patient care.Works with the Director of Clinical Operations and Vice President of Transplant Services to ensure adherence to all third-party payer and regulatory requirements such as United Network for Organ Sharing, CMS Conditions of Participation for Transplant Centers, Joint Commission, and others.Collaborates with physicians, staff members, and administration to evaluate and improve patient services.Responsible for resolving daily issues and areas of conflict and making positive changes in the department with the mission and objectives consistent with those of the organization.Directs Liver Institute staff meetings and other meetings as required.Creates, adapts, and implements new policies and procedures as needed.Maintains and updates forms, consents, patient education, and other documents as appropriate.Works in partnership with department and hospital administration to develop and implement the strategic plan.Personnel ManagementSupervises personnel, which may include Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Scheduling Coordinators as required for optimal office operations.Responsible for recruiting, retaining, coaching, team building, counseling and discharging.Ensures that personnel management is consistent and equitable in accordance with hospital policies and practices.Performs evaluations and addresses ongoing education and performance needs.Serves as a resource for staff-related issues.Oversees time & attendance, ensuring staff adherence to regularly scheduled work hours and MHS time & attendance policies.Hires, trains, supervises, motivates and evaluates Liver Institute staff.Assesses staff capabilities, maximizing individual and group capabilities.Serves as role model and resource to all staff.Ensures staff adherence to MHS standards/policies and office policies/procedures.Conducts regular staff meetings to inform staff of changes in policy, discuss areas of concern, and provide necessary education, inservice, and training.Develops time off and call schedules that assure coverage of patient and program needsAssists others to achieve productivity goals and outcomes.Financial ManagementWorks with the Vice President of Transplant Services to develop and administer the annual budget.Identifies opportunities and strategies to improve program financial and clinical performance.Reviews financial performance monthly.Prepares explanations for variances and takes actions where needed.Establishes a system to assure accurate preparation of payroll.Reports regularly on financial, productivity and other performance metrics as determined by the organizationResponsible for improving and influencing quality patient care.Maintains knowledge of hospital/program philosophies, policies, and guidelines.Participates in educational programs sponsored by MHS and outside agencies.Reviews professional journals and texts for pertinent and timely data.Belongs to and participates in professional organizations.Demonstrates behavioral expectations.Responsible for developing team cohesiveness and alignment with departmental goals.Accountable for actions of departmental personnel as well as his/her own actions and ensures that all assigned work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.Fosters mutual respect and treats patients and staff with dignity and in a culturally sensitive manner.Contributes to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback.Tactfully handles difficult patients and special requests utilizing strong customer service skills.Adheres to MHS standards of performance.Methodist Medical Group is the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System.
