Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to work software support for DIA in intelligence collection. A strong candidate will have experience with broad aspects of developing and applying technically-derived data other than imagery or SIGINT. Responsibilities include: * Unix knowledge and implementation* Collaboration with multiple contractor and government analysts* Be a proficient algorithm developer; Java, Perl, and/or C++ skills are critical* Basic understanding of Virtual Machines, Networking and development environments.* Generate and propose analytical approaches that fit technical and business requirements and constraints* Demonstrate flexibility, scalability regarding your development environment and platform* Ensure solutions meet and comply with all security and contractual requirements* Coordinate with others to ensure optimized hardware/software/resource utilization* Drafting Technical Documents* Other duties as assignedQualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: * Must be a US Citizen* Preferred candidate will have an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance* 6+ years General Software Engineering development or experience.* BS in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics* Experience writing technical documents* Competence in Java, Perl, Unix, C-Shell and Eclipse* Ability to work independently and as a team member* Demonstrated initiative with product or algorithm development* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills* Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements* Designs, implements, and integrates software applications or preforms software engineering tasks* Utilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment* Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes* Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results* DoD 8570 applied certification very desirableAll positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations.
