Located in the Seattle area, AR Modular RF, designer and manufacturer of RF amplifiers, has an exciting opportunity for an engineer to lead firmware design and development of new R&D products. Be part of an energetic team developing cutting-edge communication technologies with a strong focus on new product development.Responsibilities:Develop embedded system solutions in the New Product Development and Engineering groupLead the design coherence between RF/analog and digital/embedded systems, implementing firmware and software for embedded platforms that monitor and control RF amplifier systemsDesign software/firmware subsystems by selecting components, performing simulations, schematic capture, design reviews, overseeing PCB layout, and defining test requirementsConduct design experiments and tests to evaluate components and subsystems and verify design performanceDevelop technical reports and documentation for specific task outcomes and assist in data-driven decisionsBasic Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent6+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with multiple processor, microcontroller, and FPGA platformsKnowledge of change order process, reviews, and executionEmbedded C/C++ applications (bare metal and embedded OS)FPGA development (VHDL or similar)Microcontroller PIC/AssemblyDigital Circuit Design, including ADC and DACCommon embedded protocols; I2C, SPI, UART Additional Desired Qualifications:Experience in physical layer RF and communication systemsProven ability in analyzing root cause, complex design debugging, and problem solving independently with minimal guidanceExperience with HID (screens/buttons)Familiarity with: Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS or similar, Microsemi Libero SoC Design Suite, Python, PADS schematic and PCB or similar, Git and revision control, LabVIEWARM offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including: • Financial: 401k plan; profit sharing plan; discretionary bonus program based on company performance; company paid life insurance; disability and AD&D; voluntary benefits • Employee Incentives: Tuition reimbursement; year-round employee events; gym reimbursement • Work/Life Balance: PTO program; company paid holidays • Health: Medical, dental, vision; Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) with generous employer contribution; EAP; telemedicine planARM is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
