Responsibilities:Defines annual department objectives based on priorities.Ensures long-range (12 months) and short-range (3 months) capacity plans are developed and executed to support on-time deliveryTakes a leadership role in developing and mentoring all direct reports; provides priority-based direction; conducts performance management reviews and implements development plans.Responsible for the development, optimization, standardization, and execution of processes in all areas of controls.Establishes and maintains internal runoff strategies & execute the internal runoff for the system.Expedites operations to maintain schedules and meet unforeseen conditions; coordinates with department Managers, Project Managers, and Project Administrator when changes need to occur to schedulesAttends weekly production meetings prepared to provide update on Controls department status on all projects and assist where requiredAttends design reviews and project planning meetings as required.Recommends and implements continuous improvement measures within the Controls.Creates and maintains an equipment plan (Automation Design Specification Summary) for Controls resources.Accountable for department-specific safety training and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization''s policies and applicable lawsResponsible for controls engineer outsourcing.Audit technical feasibility for critical stations.To participate in technical meetings with customer Project & Controls Team and understand the technical requirements & customer''s standards.Supervise system installation, safety implementation & support for system functionality.Support the software team during installation & municates and coordinates with controls team & management for installation & execution review.Works with others to develop alternative systems and software designs.Assign the service team to respond the service calls, emergency support & open issue closure and to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair programming and system failures.Other duties as assignedQualifications/Experience: Bachelor''s/Master''s degree in electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.Knowledge of electrical drawings, programmable logic controls (PLC and/or CNCs and/or Robot and/or Motion Controllers), and diagnostic testing software is a must.10- 15 years'' experience with PLC (Siemens and/or AB and/or Bosch), HMI (Siemens and/or AB and/or Bosch), CNC (Siemens and/or Bosch), Robots (Fanuc and/or ABB and/or Comau), and Motion Control programming.Knowledge of programming templates of Ford, Stellantis.The application-specific experience is required for the following application: Material Handling Conveyor Systems, Robotics System with Material Handling, Gantry System, ASRS SystemsExcellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.Knowledge of Engineering Standards such as safety, electrical, and pneumatic (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, UL, ANSI, CE, etc.)
