Our client is a leading US energy company providing electricity and natural gas to over 2 million customers. The company is helping address energy challenges by building smarter, resilient, and dynamic power grids and advancing sustainable energy solutions.This is a newly created highly visible role to help lead the organization in its Digital Transformation Journey. This role will have a direct impact on the success of products within their portfolio. She/he will have a "digital first mindset", evaluate the legacy environment and help transition applications to Cloud/Mobile/Digital. They will have a successful track record of leading large scale complex software engineering solutions in diverse industries and environments.Reporting to the VP of Application Development and Engineering, this leader will come from a software engineering background, and will be a hands-on, roll-up-the sleeves leader. They will provide the vision and leadership for developing and implementing solutions for the Customer Experience Technology portfolio to support and execute the business strategy. This position requires:Capability "” possession of strong functional competency (e.g., architecture, business continuity, various technology stacks and a breadth of technology topics, with depth and breadth in capability areas; the ability to collaborate with colleagues to build new expertise and intellectual capital for solutions that have cross-market impact and that anticipate industry trends.Leadership "” proven team leadership experience, and delivery/business management skills to spearhead services into the market. Critical Competencies and Experience:15+ years of proven success leading software engineering teams and delivering stable solutions.Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Advanced degree highly preferred.Experience with architecture, business continuity, various technology stacks and a breadth of technology topics.A successful track record of connecting technology decision trade-offs to business outcomes.Seen as an expert within the technical knowledge and practical execution.Experience with building high performing delivery teams.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to explain technical concepts at all levels and align the organization on complex technical decisions.Experience with Agile issues and perform root cause analysis.Active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximize team''s potential.Ability to work through ambiguity - demonstrate confidence when making difficult decisions, leading through adversity with a focus on the right business outcome.Cross-industry experience building and leading technology teams.Experience in modern infrastructure technologies and Cloud Service providers.Experience with an omnichannel go to market strategy for Web, Mobile, and API-driven engagement systems for customer and employee experiences.Demonstrated experience building and implementing mobile, web, and IVR call center systems for customer and employee experiences.Designs the overall customer and employee experience technological solutions and systems for omnichannel products within the portfolio with the help of the Product Portfolio leader and the enterprise architecture team.
