Position BackgroundA pioneer of specialty coffee roasting and retailing in the Seattle area, Pegasus has been hand-roasting delicious coffee on Bainbridge Island since 1979. Our flagship location on Bainbridge Island - The Pegasus Coffee House - is a local landmark and has been in continuous operation since 1980.Pegasus also recently acquired Dude''s Donuts - a 100% plant-based, gluten-free donut company based in Port Orchard, WA.We''re looking for someone to join our tight-knit, experienced and growing team with similar values of integrity, teamwork, hard work (aka, the ''humble hustle''), adaptability, and fun.Position SpecificsIn this role, you willwork with leadership to develop and roll out seasonal and monthly marketing initiatives as part of our annual planupdate and maintain the content calendarmanage the content and posting of our social media programming in alignment with content calendar, company campaign initiatives and product rolloutspartner with our wholesale and retail teams to develop and execute organic social media campaigns to support brand initiativescontinuously monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our social tactics and strategy, and pivot to improve our efforts as necessarycreate and rollout regular blog and email campaigns to various customer segmentscreate and rollout regular Press Releases and add to websitelearn and become comfortable with the back-end of the Pegasus Coffee and Dude''s Donuts website, managing online store product pages and promotionsprovide excellent customer service in response to ecommerce customers'' inquiriesdesign graphics for sales and marketing initiatives (flyers, graphics, story templates, Pinterest, email marketing) as neededcreate excitement around the Pegasus Coffee Dude''s Donuts brands by utilizing existing channels and developing new ideas to advance the brand and exposureThis role is foundational to our company''s growth and success. You will work directly with company leadership for guidance and support, and will quickly become an important member of our fast-growing team.This role will be a ''hybrid'' position, including a combination of remote work (75%) and on-site work (25%).Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBachelor''s degree (BA) in communications, marketing, English, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years experience in marketing, social media, or similar roleExperience working in / fluency with the specialty coffee and/or food & beverage industryAn understanding of social media strategy and trendsKnowledge of social media platforms and tracking analytics for eachExceptional writing and grammar skillsExcellent organizational and project management skills; detail-orientedMust be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and manage time efficientlyAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationStrong computer skills and knowledge of online point of sale (Wordpress/Woocommerce, preferred); highly literate in Excel, Word, Gmail, Social Media, etc.
