Primary lead for all thermal spray manufacturing instructions and written process improvements. Ensuring the operators on the shop floor have all the necessary tools and equipment to perform their thermal spray duties and when needed, take a hands-on approach to rectifying booth/equipment issues.Ensure manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions, MIs, project briefings, etc.Develop and implement product-specific manufacturing processes utilizing sound engineering judgment and methodologies.Ensure quality requirements are met during component manufacturing to internal and customer requirements.Provide technical guidance and training to new and experienced engineers, operators, technicians in coating process technology.Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce coating solutions to meet near term as well as long term goals of our business.Qualifications:Bachelor''s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or related field).Great communications skills both verbal & written to work closely with thermal spray operators & other manufacturing engineers.Aptitude to learn & detail oriented.Great computer skills to create detailed manufacturing instructions that are easy to follow by operators. Preferred Skills:Experience development & application of HVOF & client coating processes.Experience operating & troubleshooting relevant equipment, robot program creation & modification using ABB or Fanuc controls in conjunction with offline programming.Knowledge of mechanical testing methodologies & metallurgical examination & evaluation practices.Familiarity with Lean & or Six Sigma philosophies & their application in process capability & improvement.Practical understanding of SAP, or equivalent MRP software, as well as NX CAD software or equivalent.Please submit your resume for consideration.
