Unlock your potential at Parkland Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsAmbulatory Care Unit (ACU)/Post Ambulatory Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN)Under the umbrella of Surgical Services, we are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU)/Post Ambulatory Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. In this role you will demonstrate independence in planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating patient care. In addition, you will recognize and utilize your skilled nursing techniques for the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient, including pre-admission testing, post-op recovery, and discharge. On our team, you will provide patient and family education and discharge planning. Recognize and respond to changes in a patient''s condition. You will provide assessment and care of the pre-op, phase II recovery, anesthesia block, bariatric and outpatient procedural patients. Demonstrate knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient Provide safe medication administration including use of venous access devises. You will demonstrates proficiency in IV insertion. Assist physician with outpatient procedures using aseptic technique. What qualifications you will need:REQUIREMENTS Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License BLS (American Heart Association BLS Provider or American Red Cross BLS)One year of nursing experience in Same Day CareParkland Medical Center has provided quality healthcare services since 1983.
