Zurich is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst II to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL as a key member of the Information Technology team supporting our Transactional Solutions Administration within the Application Development and Maintenance unit.This individual will work with the team and the Business to translate business requirements into technical specifications for application updates related to projects, enhancements and compliance needs while working in an Agile environment supporting the design, construction, and implementation of these updates to the applications. The ideal candidate will be an individual that is an energetic and a skilled professional requiring minimal supervision, and will serve as the liaison between the Business and IT.Other responsibilities may include: Participate in analysis of business requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteriaCoordinate activities with product owners to gather requirementsDocument detailed functional and non-functional requirementsUse requirements management tools and techniques such as Use Cases, Data Matrix, Process Flow Diagrams, JIRA, etc.Support development, user testing, implementation, and training activitiesUnderstand and apply delivery approaches (i.e. Agile methodology, Scrum) and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project management framework and the Zurich risk policyProvide subject matter expertise to others in the organizationParticipate in User Acceptance testing and analysis of resultsPerform Exploratory ad-hoc testing for Sprint activities and application regression testingBasic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Business Analysis area ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Business Analysis area ANDExperience in mainframe and PC environmentsExperience in insurance operations and regulatory environmentMicrosoft Office Excel and Word experienceBusiness Systems IntegrationExperience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of insurance industry business processesKnowledge of insurance policy administration and underwritingExperience in understanding and applying various delivery approaches (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)Experience working on Agile Scrum teams and facilitating requirements development discussions with Scrum team membersAdvanced negotiation skillsStrong consultative experience preferredExperience with collaborating across many teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAs a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to our COVID-related health and safety protocols (including, without limitation, a requirement that employees attest as to their vaccination status with a YES/NO, and upload proof of vaccination status, or negative COVID test results when allowable, to a third-party vendor.
