We thrive in an inclusive environment where we recognize that our people are our biggest asset.Job SummaryThe Software Quality Assurance Engineer position will allow an employee to work with a cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, hardware, software, and product management members to bring a product to market while ensuring high quality. This position provides freedom to approach problems from different perspectives, while interfacing with customer requirements. Opportunities are available to expand their knowledgebase into different industries and protocols while working across multiple product lines.Key ResponsibilitiesCreation and execution of test plans and test terpretation of technical specifications.Identify, isolate, and track bugs within firmware and software applications.Research and analyze product features being tested.Creation of scripting-based test applications.Collaborate with a cross-functional team of system architects, development engineers, and product managers.Work with internal and external development partners.Must-Have QualificationsBS Engineering degree in electrical engineer, computer science, or computer engineering and 4 - 7 years of relevant industrial networking experience.Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required.We ValueDemonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others, and by doing what he / she commits to doing.Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance or support.Must Be Able To...Travel by air, domestic and overseasSit for extended periods of timeCommunicate effectively in EnglishLift 25 lbs.What''s in it for you?Phoenix Contact offers a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k matching, and a generous time off package.
