The team oversees real-time communications through all media including text, voice and video.As a Senior Software engineer, you will build scalable, performant distributed systems to facilitate millions of interactions every day for a billion users.You are:A solid programmer with skills with compiled languages such as C, Go, Java, C++, or othersSomeone who has designed large-scale distributed microservices architectures and have experience with Memcached, Redis, or other caching technologiesKnowledgeable with REST, API design patterns, and scalable containerized systems and micro-servicesProficient in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other database technology at scaleData-driven focused on quality metrics and monitoringExperienced with a Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or related engineering field with at least 5 years of hands-on experienceYou Will:Develop backend services that facilitate millions of interactions across all experiencesWork with Roblox''s developer community to build scalable APIs that allow developers to include text and voice chat in their experiencesLead design and architecture discussions and mentor junior engineersHelp recruit future talent for the teamYou will report to the Social Communications Engineering Manager
