Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical

RealREPP is teaming with one of Atlanta''s top full-service architecture and engineering firms to assist them in adding a Senior Project Engineer to their MEP team! This is a BRAND NEW addition to the team due to the company''s continued expansion across the nation.This Senior Project Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and work across all business units, seeing a variety of project types including federal and local government, education, corporate, mixed-use/multifamily and religious facilities. This Senior Project Engineer will produce mechanical assessments and designs, both HVAC and plumbing, and lead the Mechanical Engineers and designers for the company''s project efforts.ResponsibilitiesProduce and review technical specifications and reports.Perform and document mechanical technical calculations.Attend project and company meetings as directed by team leads or manager.Produce mechanical and plumbing drawings as needed on projects.Prepare presentations for training or projects to share with department, company, and/or clients.Participate in project site visits and facility audits as necessary to support projects.Manage quality and resource allocationServe as the Design LeadMaintain a Utilization Rate of at least 80% Follow company employee policies and HR procedures.Utilize company project templates for project execution.Keep up with timekeeping and reporting daily, submitting weekly timesheets at the end of every municate with clients, vendors, and contractors effectively as required for job execution.Represent the company in a professional and positive manner in all communications, whether written or verbal.Follow company file management procedures in maintaining project documentation.Support Mechanical engineers and designersSupervise workloads of mechanical designers and engineering interns.Train mechanical designers and engineering interns.Develop and maintain engineering department tools and procedures.Identify training opportunities to continually improve and participate in them as directed by manager.Provide feedback on company policies and procedures to continually improve company efficiencies.RequirementsBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a related field of study.Professional Engineer (PE) required.Proficiency working in Revit.7+ years of experience in building, construction or HVAC design.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Thorough and accurate attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.Ability to lead and delegate.To present themselves in a professional manner.This company has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for several years and their employees have demonstrated longevity across all departments.
