Job Description

Amyx is seeking to hire a Subcontract Administrator (SA) (Professional III) to support our National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) project in Golden, CO. In this role, the SA (Professional III) will join the Sourcing & Subcontracts Group handles all non-site related subcontracts, regardless of type or requesting organization, in addition to university agreements, subcontracts for technical services, research and development, professional services, etc. This group is comprised of smaller ''Category Management'' teams that focus on the specific markets and acquisitions within that category. Those category teams are: (1) Research & Development, (2) Commercial Services, (3) Professional Services, (4) Information Technology, (5) Offsite Support. These teams are relatively new and somewhat fluid and as such, Vendors resources assigned to this group must be capable of working on any category team as required. Subcontract Administrators on this team are typically mid-level to senior-level resources with a wide and deep set of training and experience specific to contract execution such as negotiation of terms and conditions, experience with negotiation of scope, schedule and cost, as well as fulfilling federal contract documentation requirements. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Subcontract Administrators work independently to plan, coordinate, and provide a variety of services for involved and complex functional activities, deliverables, and issues. This position can be the second level or senior level position for this professional field of (sub)contract administration and will handle moderate to highly complex procurement actions. They will prepare and conduct competitive and sole source solicitations, perform cost/price analysis, negotiate and administer fixed price and cost type R&D, consultant, IT and technical service subcontracts with foreign entities, universities, non-profit organizations, and commercial concerns. Resolve issues related to subcontract audits, manage intellectual property ownership processes and prepare completed subcontract files for close-out. Qualifications Qualifications: Demonstrated subcontract administration experience with R&D and non-R&D procurements. Working knowledge of Federal/DOE acquisition regulations (specifically the Federal Acquisition Regulation- FAR) and procurement and contract knowledge in applying governing terms and conditions. Strong negotiation skills for cost-type, fixed price, and commodities-type blanket order subcontracts. Ability to develop strategies to effectively deal with project and program contractual issues. Strong cost/price analytical skills and business math skills. Strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills, with previous exposure to diverse assignments. Requires attention to detail, planning, and organizational abilities, as well as the developed ability to work in a changing and fast-paced, team-oriented environment, interpret and discuss technical information with others, and analyze and provide solutions to complex contractual issues. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Desired education & experience:• 5 years with BS Degree, or• 3 years with MS Degree, or• Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for education. Please contact with any questions!
