Senior Design Engineer

HCL is looking for Actuator & Engine Control Valve EngineerResponsibilitiesElectro-mechanical Valve Engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of electro mechanical valves, test equipment, systems and processessupporting engine actuators that control air, gas and fluid flow for various new development and product support projects. Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of electro-mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes.Support and lead projects to develop and maintain electro-magnetic control valves for engines. Develop and manage firmware for valves that have embedded controls. Independently conduct hands on testing in component and engine labs located in Mossville Illinois Collaborating with system teams, outside suppliers, and testing labs to ensure new products are successful & existing product issues are resolved quickly. Expect to have multiple high priority projects that make the days go by quickly. New engineers to the team will spend significant amounts of time in our component testing labsSkills Required:Experience in Air/Fluid electrical valves, Torque Motor, engine control valvesVerification and validation test plans testingWork with internal test labs, supplier test labs, and machine/engine field testing sites to execute these plans. Ability to interpret GD&T, technical drawings, and schematicsQualificationsBachelor''s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering required, education and experience in both ME & EE engineering with8-10 Years experience
