Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Range Operations team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the Test Resource Management Center''s (TRMC) mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia and international partners. The successful candidate will serve as a Virtualization Engineer (at the Charleston, South Carolina site.The position also designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization''s systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, human-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution. Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems. Directs overall system level testing. Formulates/defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications. Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. This positions supports the program and all duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor''s Degree and 6+ years'' working experience; candidates with Armed Forces college courses or Associate Degree, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.* DoD 8570.01M/ IAT-II certification within 6 months of assignment to position Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Active Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance * Associates or Bachelors degree of computer science, or engineering or its equivalent* Active, Reserve, or National Guard military service with network or cyber security experience* Experience designing, developing, and implementing virtual machines and virtual environments using management tools, such as VMWare and Microsoft Virtual Machines* Understanding of applied Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML capabilities to archive, automate, develop, and implement/restore virtual environments About BAE Systems Intelligence & Security BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
