Tool Crib Attendant - Swing shift

Swing Shift Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for the timely set up and tear down of tooling, setting up kits, and issuing hand tools, materials, fixtures, and equipment used in the manufacturing process.Duties:Assemble and preset tools and tool holdersIssue replacement tools to machinists as required.Tear down and inspect incoming tooling and equipment for defects and anize and maintain tooling and fixture inventoryReceive, mark and identify incoming tooling and equipment.Track the location of tools and equipment issued to vendors and employees.Education/Qualifications:Strong knowledge of tooling and fixturing gained through prior machinist or other relevant experience.Demonstrated experience interpreting machining drawings and setup sheets.Basic Excel, MS Access, Word, and keyboard/10 key skills.E2 Shop System Manufacturing Software skills a bonus.Strong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsSelf-motivated, capable of working independently with minimum supervisionAbility to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Physical RequirementsA machine shop environmentFrequent standingOccasional lifting up to 30 lbs.Occasional overhead lifting, climbing ladders.Shields Manufacturing is an industry leader and Value-Add, climate controlled production facility specializing in CNC machining and complex mechanical/optical/laser assembly including clean-room environments.
