Navstar is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Manager cleared at the SECRET level to provide support on program in Vienna, VA. Responsibilities include:• Provide planning and daily oversight of the customer''s IT operational environment through effective and flexible resource and task management. • Facilitate daily IT operations meetings with government and Contractor staff and document IT operations metrics for periodic reporting. Meeting is used to report on IT operations status with insight into performance of critical, major and business network systems 24/7.• Provide hands-on technical solutions as a subject matter expert and manage team with the ability to guide, direct and lead technical discussions to resolve technical issues and problems. Prompt and timely status reporting during execution of tasks, project or troubleshooting events shall be provided to the Customers IT management.• Manage resources and staff in a virtual network operations center (NOC) configuration. Contractor shall ensure up-to-date situational awareness of the Customers IT operating environment through data, metrics and performance measures. Contractor shall work with the Customer to develop a future centralized NOC monitoring capability.• Participate in change management process and procedures. Contractor shall assist the Customer Change Manager in scheduling and coordinating routine maintenance activities, along with project and emergency changes in order to minimize system and infrastructure downtime.• Provide a comprehensive technical vision aligned with Customers IT direction through the development of recommendations, plans and execution methods for sustaining mission critical and business infrastructure. Project management is required to properly resource and schedule infrastructure tasks across the delivery team.• Using expert consulting practices, techniques and methods, develop and present professional presentations, documents, graphics, charts, white-papers and/or artifacts to demonstrate or convey recommendations, analyses and/or strategy; this shall apply to any periodic, on-demand or volunteered deliverables.• Ensure delivery of solutions based on ITIL best practices. Develop and provide recommendations for IT operations process improvements.• Coordinate infrastructure activities and projects with the Customers Service Desk, other teams within TD, as well as with other Customers departments to coordinate and communicate plans that affect the IT environment.• Report all operational risks, concerns and issues to the Contracting Officer''s Representative (COR) and arrange support for troubleshooting and repair of IT hardware and software issues.• Prepare and submit a monthly report product due no later than (NLT) the 5th business day of the month after the work is performed that captures all work planned, scheduled, and completed.• This report should be inclusive of metrics for system, network and infrastructure availability and performance for the previous month as compared to year-to-date, capacity trends and forecasts for potential issues. Required Qualifications: • Operations Support Management (7-8 years'' experience).• Data Center Application Hosting Support Services Management (SIT/Dev/GAT/Prod) (7-8 years'' experience).• Project Management Planning / Facilitation (7-8 years'' experience).• Documentation Management (3-4 years'' experience).• Configuration Management - Ansible, Chef, or similar (2-3 years'' experience).• DevOPS (2-3 years'' experience).• Provide Milestone Reviews and periodic status reporting for Infrastructure Projects (3-4 years'' experience).• Maintain Configuration Management Library for all systems and infrastructures (3-4 years'' experience).• Hands-on technical solutions support or Subject Matter Expert (SME) the following environments: • Linux, Windows refresh, Citrix, NetApp, Backups - CommVault, Oracle, Storage-VM, Citrix, SAN Migrations, Network, WAN circuits /Cisco ISR routers, VPN''s MobileIron MDM, SolarWinds monitoring tool. • AWS - desired.• To be considered for this position you must hold a minimum of an active Secret security clearance.
