Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Lead Systems Engineer Manager inHerndon, Virginia. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement. A qualified Lead Systems Engineer Manager will help lead, plan, maintain, and track the software and hardware used within the infrastructure. You will be part of a talented Team with superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. In addition, a Lead Systems Engineer Manager will have a background in management, systems engineering, networking, and configuration management. Having a penchant to learn, develop and implement creative and novel system solutions to advance the Program is essential. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Support the Lead System Integrator (LSI) as Lead Systems Engineer Manager by overseeing the management of configuration items to include the release of software updates. * Coordinate with the Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and Field Site Representatives (FSRs) to ensure compliance to the Configuration Management Plan and ensure proper auditing is being conducted. * Plan and execute Configuration Management (CM) throughout the lifecycle of a project to ensure system requirements and other relevant baseline documents are established and kept up to date. * Lead the Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and coordinate with the Government Configuration Management Team to track approval through the Configuration Control Board (CCB). * Coordinate with other technical domain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and program stakeholders across multiple Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and Vendors to establish CM organization and planning as well as configuration. * Provide oversight and support to the requirement Verification and Validation (V&V) process executed by the developers. * Represent the government client to development contractors to ensure increased interdisciplinary understanding and transparency among individual teams is maintained. Basic Requirements: * Bachelor''s degree in an engineering, scientific, or other technical disciplines and 7 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience * 8+ years of experience with software development, systems engineering, or networking engineering * Experience developing, updating, documenting, and maintaining process and procedures throughout the lifecycle of a Program * Experience in Configuration Management * Experience with Project Management * Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and the core principles of Cyber Security * Knowledge of configuration management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management, or Remedy * Effective in both written and verbal communication, coordination, and capable of representing the Program in community forums * Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other government agencies and mission partners * Ability to work in a fast paced, highly technical, dynamic, and team environment * Ability to think analytically and work effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders * A structured way of working as well as strong problem-solving skills are both important * Prior experience supporting an IC and/or DoD customers * Experience with SAFe and the Agile methodologies Security Clearance Requirement: * Active/Current TS/SCI. Physical Requirements: * Able to remain in a stationary position 50%. * Constantly position self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet. * Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. * Frequently communicate with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
