Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space & Launch (S&L) Software Development and Integration Capability team is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer/Architect located in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a diverse group of junior-level through senior-level real-time/embedded software engineers to develop innovative spacecraft software/architecture solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The candidate will oversee teams in various phases of maturity, spanning from project inception through operational sustainment, for both program-unique and product-line projects.Position Responsibilities:Leads software architecture development, collaborating with a cross-functional team of electronics, hardware, and systems engineersLeads spacecraft control and mission software application development and verification teams in an agile secure development environmentFunctions as overall software project engineer for Agile software development effortsOversees technical and programmatic performance of 3rd party software suppliersGuides software Change Control Board decisionsWorks closely with Product Line Flight Software Chief Engineer, program personnel, and management to recommend/implement process improvementsSupports independent review of program artifacts and estimatesThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
