The L3Harris manufacturing area includes; temperature and humidity controlled assembly areas, ESD sensitive floors, DOD Secret cleared rooms, a Test and Integration tower, Optical and Laser test ranges, Environmental and Qualification Test capabilities, Hydrostatic pressure test systems, an anechoic test chamber, 1,800 sq ft of clean room space for FOD-sensitive optical assembly, and more! The facility also features an open-office work environment and a full-service eat-in café!Description: Assist with Managing and directing the day to day activities of the Electrical Engineering Group. Provide technical direction and oversight to individuals in the Group and to program teams. Estimate labor, capacity and other resources as required to operate and adherence to budget and schedule commitments. Support the professional development of engineers to meet program objectives and the strategy of the company. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager to ensure program objectives are met.Essential Functions: Manage and direct the day to day activities of the Electrical Engineering Group and make individual work assignments.Monitor individual performance and prepare formal Performance Appraisal Reports.Be capable of executing all the duties of a senior Electrical Engineer.Review and approve formal documentation (PLM, Assembly Instructions and Electronic Assembly Instructions, etc.) for release in accordance with internal standards.Provide technical direction and oversight to individuals in the Group and to program teams, insuring high standards of technical competence and achievement.Estimate labor, capacity and other resources as required to operate and adherence to budget and schedule commitments.Define capital, tools, equipment and other resources required by the Electrical Eng. Group.Prepare and deliver technical presentations to management and sure quality through group adherence to the Quality Systems Manual and Standard Work Instructions and other internally or contractually invoked standards.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering; Master''s Degree preferred.7+ years Lean Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience.Successful candidates must meet eligibility requirements to access US classified information.Preferred Additional Skills:Program/Project Management: Ability to coordinate and administer programs, activities and protocols. Ability to manage resources, monitor activities and assess. environmental risk, safety, and quality control associated with the program.Professional Knowledge: Advanced level of technical engineering skill/knowledge and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.Leadership: Demonstrated skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.Proven capability to solve technical problems while meeting the need of the customer.Experience working in a matrix environment; getting things done through others.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Works well with management, peers and subordinates.
