This role is an experienced technologist and strategic partner to the application development, operations, DevOps, automation, security, and infrastructure teams. Senior Manager of Quality Engineering will ensure quality delivery of customer and employee facing product offerings, across entire Peapod Digital Labs portfolio of applications, including web, mobile, business systems, API''s and cross product integration. Areas of strategic focus include agile delivery, automation, and security. Quality engineering plays a role across multiple functions outside of engineering encompassing the whole product delivery process with an Agile approach and use of the latest tools and processes, of course, with a strong focus on quality. Responsible for partnering and contributing to the CI/CD maturity journey of the engineering organization Build a metrics-driven operational culture standardizing our testing Provide expert technical guidance and ongoing engineering design review to teams planning and implementing large migrations, service-oriented architecture, broad architectural shifts, and capacity growth Make iterative improvements to blameless incident management processes, root cause analyses, outage prevention, and service recovery strategies across the engineering organization Partner closely with Development, Security, Quality, Operations and Product teams to achieve high priority security, privacy, compliance, reliability and business-continuity objectives on our overall roadmap Propose and drive large improvements to production systems to achieve significant improvements for our business and engineering teams Mentor and coach engineers to be curious and effective at discovering and solving technical challenges The Essentials in Your Cart - The required ingredients B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field Proven experience (15+ years) demonstrating hands-on technical leadership and business impact in combining software engineering skills with systems engineering skills to solve complex quality, automation and reliability challenges Experience with automation, performance, API, DB testing tools and platforms and deploying these solutions to achieve strong reliability in software releases. Knowledge about various tools like SeeTest, AccelQ, SeaLights, SonarQube, Jenkins. You have experience building mobile testing capabilities by building Mobile Device Labs, Mobile App Security, Mobile Test Automation. You have experience in implementing automated code quality gates to shift quality left in development lifecycle. You have strong understanding of test data management for large scale ecommerce platforms. You have proven capability in deploying test automation solutions that can provide high level of test coverage in least amount of time leveraging various methods to cut down test optimizations. You have the skills to implement load, stress, performance and reliability testing standards at scale to improve service, platform and infrastructure resiliency. You have leveraged various testing in the wild and end user testing platform like Applause for integrating real user feedback early into product development process.
