We are currently seeking Structural Design Engineers (Levels 2-4) to develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.These positions are located in the St. Louis region and support current and emerging aircraft and weapons programs across the Bombers and Fighters, Phantom Works, Autonomous Systems, Missiles and Weapons, and Boeing Global Services businesses.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Structural Design Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.Works under general supervision.?These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start may be required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.2+ years relevant structural design experience.1+ years of experience using industry CAD systems (e.g. PRO-E, SOLIDWORKS, NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA, AUTOCAD) and familiarity with reading 2-D drawings.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Military aircraft and/or commercial aircraft structures experienceTypical Education/Experience:Associate (Level 2)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (Level 4)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master+7 years'' related work experience).
