Job Description Job Title: Property Book Specialist Location: Redstone Arsenal, ALDirect Report: Supply Division SupervisorJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Property Book Specialist must be skilled in Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A)operations for transactions, accountability, and reporting purposes. This position requirescompetence in system analysis and knowledge of work processes, applicable regulations,workload, and practices of assigned mission. Must have the ability to determine and resolvedata processing problems, coordinate the work for data reporting, determine and resolve dataprocessing problems, orient user personnel on new or changed procedures, and bring to theattention of the supervisor any problems or controversies. Tasks include processing assetrequisitions, receipts, inventory data, turn-in, and unique item tracking. Must be able to performresearch to ensure accurate property accountability; verify internal controls to protectGovernment''s interest and generate reports and documents as required. Essential Functions: • Processes services in support of asset requisition, receipt, short-term holding, inventory issue, redistribution, classification, turn-in, maintaining hand receipts, annexes, adjustment reports, reconciliations, and serial number and unique item tracking • Performs research to ensure accurate property accountability • Verified internal controls protect the Government''s interests, and generates reports and documents as required • Uses GCSS-A for transactions, accountability, and reporting • Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process. • Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc. • Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL''s) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals. • Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures. • Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information. • Maintain a safe and secure work environment. • Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc. • Adhere to PTi Quality, Safety, and environmental standards ,Working Conditions and Physical Demands • The employee may be required to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies as applicable to position. • Ability to work inside and/or outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp, and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies. • Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces. QualificationsExperience: • Prior experience with GCSS-A and warehouse experience. • Must have knowledge of Property Book H/R procedures, Property Book level knowledge, will be managing Primary H/R''s. • Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPointSkills: • Ability to operate a computer terminal, bar code and document scanners • Understand the needs of the organization serviced • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively read and write in English, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively. • Attention to detail and excellent follow up skillsCertificate, License, Registration, etc.: • US Citizen • Active SECRET security clearance • Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance and military Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days if required • Completion of company mandated training applicable to position. • Possess a valid Driver''s License Education 2 , • Minimum high school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications • Military experience This job description is meant to be a guide.
