DescriptionDescriptionThe Maintenance Technician II is primarily responsible for proficiency in several trades, exercising technical independence in determining work methods and procedures. Receives assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accomplished by sketches or diagrams. The Maintenance Technician also delivers on the day-to-day commitments to our Customer, our Company and our People.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and understand the Crescent stalls electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors and other such equipment.Tests, maintains and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gaugesTests and calibrates pneumatic controlsPerforms skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering and plumbingCheck and repair pumps, fans, valves and motorsAdjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relaysPrepare accurate records for preventative maintenanceWork in a safe manner and promote all safety procedures including LOTO and all other OSHA requirements.Champion the Crescent Culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe and Doing it Well and abide by all written and understood procedures and policies.All other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequirementsJob RequirementBring your mechanical expertise, and '' forward thinking'' attitude along with your:Primary responsibility for proficiency in several trades, exercising technical independence in determining work methods and procedures. Receives assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accomplished by sketches or diagrams.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstalls electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors and other such equipmentTests, maintains and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gaugesTests and calibrates pneumatic controlsPerforms skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering and plumbingCheck and repair pumps, fans, valves and motorsAdjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relaysPrepare accurate records for preventive maintenancePerform other job-related duties as assignedEDUCATIONMinimumHigh school, vocational or equivalent.EDUCATIONPreferredEXPERIENCEMinimum2 years of experience in building and production equipment which has involved at least two of the building, electrical or mechanical trades.Electrical background knowledge in 230/460 single 3ph. 110 vac control.Ability to detect defects in equipment and to make proper repairs or adjustments.Must have own tools to do the job.EXPERIENCEPreferredSkillMinimumSkill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.SkillPreferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 60 lbs.Must be able to perform in normal, year-round CP packaging working conditionsMust be able to bend stoop, and crawl under machineryOther RequirementsAbility to work flexible hoursWork overtime when requiredWeekend work when required
