Find your future with us.The Compliance Oversight, Strategy + Integration team within BCA Safety, Certification & Quality Integration (SCQI) is seeking an senior Systems Engineer to join our team and make an immediate impact on both urgent and long-term cross-functional flight training, operations and engineering initiatives in Everett, WA.You will be able to combine the deep expertise and resources of the entire Boeing enterprise with the flexibility and fast pace of a small company setting. You will have opportunities to collaborate with people from all over the world to create and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical problems, and lead integration efforts surrounding compliance with US and Foreign regulations regarding flight operational suitability.Some travel may be required to support our customers and stakeholders as well as to have learning experiences to enhance your career.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Primary Responsibilities: Be an integral part of supporting all Boeing Commercial Airplane models in-service and under development, including programs such as 747, 767, 777, 787, 737NG, 737 MAX, 777X, and the next generation of commercial airplanesEvaluate, coordinate, implement and ensure engineering design and retrofit changes meet operational and functional requirements in support of customer expectations and overall program objectivesLead cross-functional technical integration and teams in support of resolving complex issues to maintain aircraft operational suitabilityDrive Cross-functional integration and technical project management in support of delivery and production stream sustainabilityFacilitate detailed investigations to ensure system integration, compliance with requirements and to preclude safety issuesAssist in the development and enhancement of in-house and enterprise tools to enable efficient performance of engineering tasksCommunicate routinely with Internal and External CustomersCommunicate frequently with RegulatorsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Bachelor''s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (ABET accreditation or equivalent)This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.The applicant must be able to support domestic or international travel to support our customers as required, although this is not typical.Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):Prior experience in a customer service role is highly recommendedPrior experience with aircraft dispatch (civilian or military) is highly recommendedExperience with Transport, Boeing 7-Series and/or McDonnell Douglas Aircraft is preferredExperience with US and/or foreign aircraft certification/regulatory processes is preferredCommercial or military aircraft maintenance experience is preferredProject Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008) is preferred.Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
