Provides system level oversight and performance of incoming inspection, equipment installation, equipment repair, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance of specialized medical imaging equipment including but not limited to CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, PACS, Vascular/Cath labs, radiation oncology, and other high technology imaging modalities. Expert level skills in one or more of these modalities.Provides system level oversight and performs corrective maintenance on CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, PACS, Vascular/Cath labs, radiation oncology, and other high technology imaging modalities. Service support will be provided to multiple Advocate Healthcare facilities. Familiar with the setup and application of all test equipment (electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, radiation meter, MAS meter, , imaging QA tools, etc.) required to maintain and service specialized classes of medical imaging equipment.Performs routine rounding throughout assigned areas and provides consistent feedback to user departments on the status of repairs and other maintenance activities. Communicates routinely with supervisory personnel on the status of equipment repair and maintenance activities along with immediately reporting all patient/equipment operator safety issues.Performs scheduled maintenance, safety and quality assurance testing consistent with industry standards and equipment manufacturers'' recommendations on CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, PACS, Vascular/Cath labs, radiation oncology, and other high technology imaging modalities. Service support will be provided to multiple Advocate Healthcare facilities. Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendationsconcerning changes to preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, or documentation.Performs incoming inspections and performance verification on CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, PACS, Vascular/Cath labs, radiation oncology, and other high technology imaging modalities. Supports multiple Advocate Healthcare facilities. Provide inventory control, audits, and makes recommendations when replacements are needed.Coordinates special projects by defining scope of work, identifying resources both technical and financial and provides technical direction to staff and communicatesproject status.Participates in hazard identification and medical device reporting procedures to help ensure that the patient care environment is safe. Collaborate with Information Systems to ensure security compliance and connectivity to other radiological systems and devices.Performs rounds in assigned areas and participates in on-call rotation. Serves as a resource to user departments by providing assistance and instruction on proper use of medical imaging equipment.Responds appropriately to urgent customer requests. Communicates the status of all maintenance activity, projects and other necessary information to the clinical users in a timely and consistent manner. Escalates situations beyond capabilities to proper staff.Participates in new equipment evaluation and RFP/RFI development.Minimize contract dependency and the use of manufacturer and/or third-party labor for maintenance and repair of responsible systems.Scheduled HoursM-F 07:00 to 15:30Licenses & CertificationsNone Required. Required Functional ExperienceTypically requires 5 years of experience in working on multiple classes of medical imaging equipment with demonstrated knowledge of corrective and scheduled maintenance practices.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of safety precautions when servicing high voltage and working with ionizing radiation.
