This is a full-time permanent position, and will not require any afterhours support, unless necessary.This position sits within our Computershare Technology Services business (CTS), supporting one of our largest global business units.CTS Service Operations NA Contains 100+ staff across North American sites, ensuring the maximum availability of any operational IT services. This includes fulfilling user request, resolving service failures, fixing problems, as well as carrying out routine operational task.If you are someone who has a passion for technology, a desire to work as a part of an agile team, and you''re looking for a company that will give you great variety and progression, then look no further as this role may be for you!A role you will loveAs one of our dedicated OpenShift Linux Engineers, you will be working with the Service Operations department. In this department, you will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support for all of CTS customers and clients, as well as enhancing customer experience through investigating and resolving system faults enabling our customers to run their operations effectively.You will get to work alongside a fantastic group of dedicated Engineers and will be focused on supporting our Linux initiatives, promoting innovation, and sharing knowledge with our global community.This will also include: Providing 2nd and 3rd Line support to Business escalated via the ''Service Now'' system Ensuring all Server Systems are available and meet with Company requirements. Maintaining logical and physical security measures where appropriate. Maintaining systems both hardware and software. Ensuring hardware and software fault calls are placed, managed and resolved according to relevant maintenance contracts and in line with problem management processes Building pro-active and constructive professional relationships with other teams and departments Day to day support of Red hat and other flavors of Linux servers as well as the hardware it resides on) Providing support to POC and deployment activitiesWhat will you bring to the role? You will have a flexible approach, with the desire to learn new technology and happily work as a part of a supportive Engineering team. Communication and solid relationship building with people of all levels is essential to succeed in this role.Of course, the main thing that we are looking for is a passion for support and development! You''ll have a thirst for knowledge and will always look at ways to improve what we do.Essential: Create and run a Linux system management practice and routine that aligns with corporate IT policies and procedures. Administer the systems on a day-to-day basis Significant experience and comfort installing, operating, and recovering Linux operating systems as we ll as Open Shift Clusters and Nodes 5+ years of experience installing and configuring OpenShift container platform cluster 5+ years of experience migrating/upgrading OpenShift environments 5+ years of experience administering worker node configurations like pod and node configuration, docker configuration 5+ years of experience managing nodes: adding, deleting, updating labels, listing pods, etc Significant experience in managing and supporting Linux based application servers experience checking the health of the environment including status of the nodes, pods, repository management, connectivity, Intel architecture (HP Superdome / Cisco UCS a plus), orchestration toolsets (Ansible, Chef), virtualization using KVM and VMWare Understanding of load balancing technology, preferred experience with Citrix NetScaler Able to work with both technical and those with limited understanding of technical concepts Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to manage multiple change work streams, often across many technologies Strong accountability and results-oriented, with ability to set priorities independently, provide follow-through, and meet objectives Understanding of ITIL v3 processes and functions Preferred: Bachelor''s degree (B.
