Versar, Inc. is seeking a Force Presentation and Readiness SME to support the Headquarters of the Air Force, Civil Engineer Directorate. This position will analyze and provide recommendations for policy, guidance, urgent needs requirements, and strategic documentation affecting Air Force enterprise and installation sustainment operations that support the Air Force Chief of Staff (CSAF) Combat Readiness Initiatives. Primary work location is at the Pentagon in Washington DC. Responsibilities: * Perform analysis on force presentation (FP), mission essential tasks, (METs) and ability to survive and operate (ATSO) in contested environments and other initiatives. Provide support to CE lead by coordinating equities across Headquarters Air Force to ensure the synchronization of FP, METs and ATSO initiatives.* Coordinate with Headquarters Air Force organizations to develop courses of actions for recommendations to the CSAF readiness issues.* Provide senior-level perspective and inputs into the development of Joint Service doctrine, Air Force policy, and guidance to codify Air Force capabilities across the full spectrum of operations in peacetime and up to wartime operations worldwide.* Provide expert analyses, assessments, and recommendations in support of updating expeditionary engineer training and METs measurements, joint requirements and tasks, Operations Plans (OPlans) and projected scenarios to assist in determining requirements and policy.* Review, analyze, and provide assessment of CE readiness products using information sources and the Automated Readiness Information System, the Defense Readiness reporting system, and Military Personnel Data System tools. Requirements: * Master''s degree or a minimum of 17 years''experience (GS-13/14 equivalent) in Air Force & Civil Engineering Readiness; Emergency Services, Expeditionary Engineering Support; and CBRN defense operation-across the full spectrum threat environment.* Broad expertise in corporate processes, policies, and programs, GFM policies, guidance and strategies.* Possesses DoD experience in project management, engineering management, or another subject of comparable complexity and responsibility in support of Government programs (Air Force preferred).* Will need to become Air Force certified to be a Unit Deployment Manager (UDM)* Requires a Secret clearance. Desired Skills: * Readiness background (retired military who served in a Unit Deployment Manager (UDM position)* Foundational knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineering (CE), as well as CE policy knowledge and knowledge of policy rewrite process* Resourceful by nature and proactive in working outside A4C to collaborate with installation readiness cells at multiple Air Force bases* Strong technical writing skills.* Quick thinking, easily adaptable, comfortable working with the unknown, and comfortable working independently with outside organizations* Leadership experience and skills working alongside team to conduct business conferences and capture meaningful due outs.
