Find your future with us.The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Mission Systems & Autonomy (MS&A) software capability is seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer (Level 4) in Huntington Beach, CA. The position will involve developing real-time embedded software that will run on a custom mission data processor in Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensor payloads. The selected candidate will work with an EO/IR sensor product team focused on creating next-generation, cutting edge sensors for Boeing and customer platforms ranging from aircraft to spacecraft. The product team is focused on providing complete solutions, including systems engineering, optics design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, and electronics. Project and program deliverables include system prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstration. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree3+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time system1+ years experience with Software Testing or Software VerificationPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience developing Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projectsExperience writing software for real-time digital signals processing for aerospace and defense applicationsExperience in software development using languages such as C, C++, and Python.Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc).Experience with Agile development methodologies.Active Security ClearanceTypical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'' related work experience).
