Job Title: Research Data Management Systems Manager Work Location: Durham, NCPosition Type: 6 Months Contract to Hire Hourly Rate: $40 / hour Conversion Salary Range: $85,000 + Terrific full-time benefits Medix is seeking a Research Data Management Systems Manager for an exciting opportunity with one of our top higher education clients in Research Triangle Park, NC. Please note that this is a hybrid on-site position, 2-3 days / week in the Durham area. Talent must be local to RTP for consideration.ABOUT OUR CLIENTOur client is a higher educational facility, globally renowned for their applied research department, with breakthrough studies on everything from Autism and Diabetes, to Infectious Diseases and Cancer Treatments.The clinical research team recently built and deployed a new home-grown system to replace an outdated Data Management Platform. This system was developed in the Microsoft Stack (ASP.Net, C and SQL Server). They are now seeking a Systems Manager who can continue to work with the users and drive the workflows for new system capabilities, as well as aid with Data Migration / Data Integration, and system operations.We are seeking individuals who have a minimum of 2 years experience in research / biotechnology / life-sciences environment, with hands-on experience developing or supporting Data Management platforms (or home-grown Microsoft applications)RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with a small development team to continue to spec out and create scientific workflows for a proprietary Research Data Management SystemWorking directly with Lab Managers and Scientists to capture the process Observing lab scientists in their day to day workflows and processes, and using that information to designing strategic fixes for the Data Management system Aiding in migration data from the Legacy LIMS platform to the new Data Management platform Handling basic bug fixes Working in a Microsoft Web Application Environment Managing the operations and health of this Data Management System.REQUIREMENTSRequired Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experienceHands-on experience with Microsoft tech stack (C, ASP.Net, SQL Server)Strong Data Management experience (SQL)2 years recent experience in a Clinical Research or Biotechnology field.W2 Talent only - please no C2C or subcontractor Inquiries.
