Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Real-time Software Engineer (Level 4) to join the Flight Simulation | Labs team located in Berkeley (St. Louis), MO. Flight Simulation | Labs provides comprehensive simulation and laboratory solutions for the design, development, and deployment of Boeing St. Louis defense products. This position is for a lead software developer on the EA-18G Growler Modeling & Simulation team.The Flight Simulation | Labs Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test real-time models, tools, and operator-in-the-loop simulations of aircraft systems, displays, and tactical environments. These simulation products are utilized in the validation of current operational avionics, sensor, and weapon systems, as well as in the prototyping and development of next generation systems, for the F18 Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft.Position Responsibilities:The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, while working creatively in all phases of the software development life cycleLeads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsLeads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metProvides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metricsPlans, executes and documents software research and development projectsServes as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standardsWorks under minimal directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Department of Defense Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Ability to obtain a Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other technical degree3 years of work-related experience with C++/Object Oriented software development3 years of work-related experience with Real-time or embedded software developmentWork-related software experience with C and PythonExperience working with Windows development environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active US Secret or Top-Secret Security ClearanceExperience working in an Agile development environmentExperience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Version OneModeling & Simulation software development experience Basic knowledge of avionics architectures and integrationTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master+7 years'' related work experience).In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Travel:Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
