KBR is seeking a motivated and talented Senior Technical Leader in Software Engineering with an active Top Secret Clearance for its Mission Analytics Special Programs team, based in Ann Arbor, MI. Responsibilities: * Responsible for the direct supervision, integration, and coordination of teams engaged in activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management, and quality control of software for both research and development projects across a portfolio of funded Government contracts* Reviews and prioritizes user needs and analyzes project cost and feasibility* Provides technical direction/guidance. Performs higher level technical tasks associated with an individual contributor role* Oversees activities of team members, ensures a productive work environment and department objectives are completed in accordance with quality standards, time and budget constraints* Establishes unit objectives, work plans, schedules, and ensures resources are available for completion of projects and assignments* Advises staff on projects and tasks* Develops development standards and methodologies consistent with technical requirements* Participates in the strategic planning process and ensures appropriate skills are available when needed* Develop new business opportunities, and associated strategies and tactics to win work* Focuses on resource development and process improvement* Evaluates and recommends changes in work methods and procedures in assigned area(s)* Develops and implements new processes/procedures as needed* Recommends candidates for employment* Coaches and motivates team members* Develops and trains subordinates* Assists with administrative tasks (i.e., developing budgets, cost/benefit analysis).* Performs all other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: * BS degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or related technical field plus 15 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience. Master''s degree plus 10 years'' experience preferred. In lieu of formal education, 20 years of progressive experience in a comparable environment may be acceptable. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail* Demonstrated experience (10 years minimum) as a software project manager or software technical lead, with responsibility for successful concurrent execution and delivery on software development projects* Knowledge of remote sensing technologies including active and passive sensor systems which operate in EO/IR and RF regimes, and the signal and image processing algorithms and software architectures that enable these systems* Experienced with real-time, embedded systems software; parallel processing; development on diverse computing platforms to include GPUs* Knowledge of and experience with software development in open architecture environments* Knowledge of and experience with Agile development methods, and experience in implementing Agile through organizational transformation* Software development experience in C++, Python; knowledge of MATLAB and experience in transitioning MATLAB scripts to formal software development* Familiarity with software development in both Windows (Microsoft Visual Studio) and Linux environments and with state-of-the-art, commercial tools that facilitate software development and software configuration management* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted client relationships* A track record of pursuing and capturing new software project work* A demonstrated ability to successfully execute software development projects (for prototypes, products & systems)* Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting and federal acquisition regulations, and success in operating as a software engineer and software development project manager within this environment* A demonstrated ability to not only direct, but lead, a highly talented team* Ability to work with standard business management tools and financial systems, MS Office, project management software* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently* Strong oral and written communication skills* Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance Desired Qualifications * Experience in successfully implementing organizational change in software development team processes and methodologies* Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Security Requirements:Must have an active TOP SECRET security clearance.
