JOB DESCRIPTION About CRS Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. CRS'' relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance and peacebuilding. Job Summary: The Data Assistant will help the Donor Services team process work at the end of the year. Learning objective: This internship is meant for the student to gain and learn knowledge and skills in the area of Accounting and Finance. Roles and Key Responsibilities: Look up donor ids and enter on batches so keying can be performed in a timely manner. Review integrity of certain batches from both the lockbox vendor and the online vendor based on rules for each batch range. Batches will include EA, Merkle cleans, Bre''s ,WM banking online and any others needed. Deposit checks from HQ into bank account Reconcile bank deposits against data from CRM. Periodically review reports to ensure there are no issues with the debits and credits for donations posted to the system. Copy and scan documents to appropriate parties. File batches from March 13 to present. This is needed to complete the CRS audit. Stamp out routing and banking numbers from all documentation.QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications: Experience with handling deposits. Basic understanding of accounting with debits and credits.
