Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a highly productive, self-motivated Associate and Experienced Information Systems Security Engineer for the Advanced Information Technology (AIT) Program located in Seal Beach, CA. As a member of our diverse and highly-adaptive Information Assurance Team, you will work closely with other Information Systems Security Engineers, System Administrators, Communications Engineers, Cybersecurity professionals (e.g., ISSM, ISSO), Industrial Security Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Operations specialists who are passionate about providing top-quality secure computing and storage services to a variety of developers and data scientists across the United States of America.As an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will be part of the team managing cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts for secure, world-class computing and storage services supporting proprietary customers. You will be an integral part of the program and have the opportunity to work with multiple engineering and support teams on both on-going operational efforts and exciting future projects for a highly valued, dynamic program. This position will support large, high performance computing systems and require demonstrated experience in Information Systems Security Engineering and Cybersecurity requirements/processes, a diverse background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing RMF capabilities. Position Responsibilities:Provide systems security engineering leadership and support for high performance computing systems, specifically in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) / Information Assurance (IA), and Risk Management Framework (RMF)Interpret system requirements and provide subject matter expertise to program management and customersAddress and develop solutions for computing security requirements (e.g., RMF)Perform security evaluation of vendor hardware, software, documentation and testing, and documenting findings in reports and briefingsEvaluate and apply government cybersecurity (DoD, NIST, FIPS, JSIG and NSA) policies and instructionsEnsure system and interface requirements support cybersecurity needsCoordinate with system stakeholders to define ISSE related system integration needs and schedules, such as certification events and testPrepare test cases, test scripts, test plans and procedures, data collection, and lab infrastructure for cybersecurity functionsParticipate in system and project development, integration activities, and working groupsDevelop and/or acquire, install, configure and integrate ISSE/Cybersecurity tools for auditingAssess and maintain the security posture of high-performance computing systemsPerform hardware technical reviewsApply a logical approach in solving challenging problemsUse OS Environments: Windows, Unix (Solaris), Linux (RHEL)Use Cybersecurity applications and tools (e.g., Splunk)This position is expected to be onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Work Authorization:This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor''s Degree in engineering or any technical fieldCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) CertificationPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMaster''s Degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical disciplineThree (3) or more years'' experience in Information Assurance Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirementsKnowledge of computer networking and computer security processesExperience with OS Environments: Windows, Linux (RHEL), UnixExperience with Cybersecurity applications and tools (e.g., Splunk)Possess additional security certifications such as CISA, CIMS, CAP, CEH, Security+Experience working with Computer Security, Cybersecurity, and ISSM/ISSO personnelExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team environmentTypical Education & Experience: Associate (Level 2)Bachelor''s degree and typically 2 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Experienced (Level 3)Bachelor''s degree and typically 5 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with typically 3 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standardRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
