As the manager of the digital communications and risk teams, this role will advocate for advancing technologies to expand customer reach, identify engaging content, and optimize advertising spend while ensuring all touchpoints are fully compliant with both the letter and the spirit of all regulations. This role will be responsible for the oversight of all public-facing content on all current and future digital channels, including but not limited to direct email marketing , website content, and advertising copy and creatives. The Director of Digital Communication will also be responsible for standardizing and transforming internal communications, injecting the Resurgent brand into corporate communications. This role will serve as the liaison between other Resurgent business units and the Digital Team, supporting the success of Digital Transformation initiatives. Responsibilities:Drives Web Content and Customer ExperienceOversees content and copy creation for brochure website and landing pages including A/B variants. Working closely with the content strategist, campaign manager, and marketing analytics, researches customer search trends (SEO) and publishes brand-guide adherent content to meet the needs of Resurgents customers.Requests internal and external feedback loops from marketing analytics and monitors regularly to identify improvements to the customer experience, soliciting consultants for idea generation or user testing. Collaborates with website analytics teams to quantify impact of potential changes and prioritizes work accordingly.Takes an active customer role in user acceptance testing (UAT) of all website rollouts, ensuring the customer experience is a top priority and changes are communicated throughout the organization.Mitigates Risk in Corporate CommunicationsShepherds all content on public-facing websites through the formal legal and compliance review process. Ensures content compliance with all applicable laws, rules, best practices in collections, and the Resurgent brand guide. This requires project management skills to coordinate with legal and compliance teams for approval to accommodate scheduled website releases.Promotes hardening the digital communications foundation by establishing robust quality assurance in digital content creation and deployment. This should encompass full email rendering and tests prior to deployment as well as regular sampling of deployed content and integration with Resurgent QA function to ensure consistency and compliance.Holds content and engineering teams accountable for auditability and traceability of all content changes, advocating for source control wherever possible. Builds familiarity with Resurgent policies and procedures and closely works with compliance department to understand applicability of analog rules to digital channels. This requires a foundational understanding of national and local collections laws and campaign operations.Maintains internal policies and process documentation related to digital operations and marketing.Advances Digital Marketing and AdvertisingOversees implementation of advertising strategies across all digital marketing channels and all levels of customer marketing funnel.Develops the culture of data-driven advertising decisions within internal and external marketing resources, holding external resources accountable for performance optimization.Takes an active role in user acceptance testing of the proprietary template management application. Provides feedback to engineering prior to deployment. Builds Brand Engagement ExternallyOwns and updates the existing brand guide as we evolve in our understanding of the customers changing needs, pain points, and our ability to reach customers through existing and new communication channels.Reviews and assists in the development of recruiting and NHO onboarding materials, ensuring that they are in line with brand standards and present Resurgent as a thought leader.Oversees non-advertising on social media channels. Plans social campaigns in advance to capitalize on halo effects of cross channel marketing. Seeks to drive organic engagement on social platforms with an emphasis on quantitative improvements to brand awareness, recognition, and engagement.Acts as the public relations liaison, owns the press release function, and identifies local media outlets and points of contact. Cultivates media and local relationships and seeks to identify mutually beneficial topics in line with the Resurgent brand.Evangelizes Resurgent Digital TransformationResponsible for regular and ongoing 2 way communication flows between digital and all other departments to identify and fill knowledge gaps internally and uncover process and understanding gaps in digital operations.Oversees the creation and deployment of company wide promotional and announcement materials including but not limited to portal feature release notifications, current customer-facing marketing, fundraising and humanitarian efforts, recruiting and employee recognition.Develops TalentFacilitates cross-training and serves as backup for key functions within team.Prioritizes teams work in accordance with the broader company initiatives and adjusts to meet conflicting time sensitivity, risk, revenue, and UX goalsConducts goal setting, feedback sessions, and performance reviewsIdentifies missing skill sets within the Digital Communications team, defines job responsibilities and recruits to fill.Aligns work with individual team members skill sets while providing challenges to develop team members in their areas of opportunity.Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree, masters degree is related field preferred 5+ years in marketing, advertising, communications, or social impact work. Strong preference for experience in financial services. Demonstrated excellence in creating marketing materials Knowledge of the wider digital marketing space, including SEM, Paid Social, SEO and Programmatic (OTT, CTV, offline and audio) required Familiarity with the financial services application of federal and state regulations, such as FDCPA, TCPA, and CCPA desirableSkills & Competencies: Intellectually curious, asking intelligent questions and consistently probing for answers Excellent project management skills, including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work multiple projects concurrently with a sense of urgency to meet Exceptional Written/Verbal Communication and Presentation Skills Possess superb leadership, business acumen, and communication skills to be able to work with a wide range of team members and stakeholders from individual contributors to senior executives.
