HBSS Administrator with Security Clearance

Overview i3 is seeking an HBSS Administrator to support an Army Contract. The candidate will need to operate and manage all aspects of HBSS focusing on host based network security and information assurance controls in an Army/DoD environment. The candidate will install, operate, monitor, maintain, document and report on security components to include: malware, USB devices, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, policy compliance, and firewall rule sets. Under limited direction, designs, tests, operates and implements secure operating systems, networks, and database products. The HBSS Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, or be able to obtain at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance. Responsibilities * Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, online * systems and in person. * Ability to take on project ownership and satisfy requirements up to completion. * Assist other Administrators in the design and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make * recommendations to management. * Designs, tests, operates and implements endpoint protection products and polices on operating systems, networks, * and database products. * Monitor host configurations and respond to potential threats/vulnerabilities. * Spearhead the design, implementation and monitoring of HBSS components. * Perform host based intrusion detection and forensics. * Analyze and report HBSS incidents to CERT responders. * Deploy and configure McAfee point products such as VirusScan Enterprise, Rogue System * Detection, Policy Auditor, and Data Loss Prevention / Device Control Module. * Implement and monitor security measures based on IA/CTO guidelines. * Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for application design. * Handles a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. * Performs analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, * operation, maintenance and disposal * Responsible for analysis, evaluation, and recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and * effectiveness in the customer''s security program. Builds and maintains trusted relationships with customers. Qualifications * Bachelor Degree and 6 years'' experience or 10+ years of equivalent experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree. * Current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification (Security+ or equivalent) * Experience with daily administration and troubleshooting of HBSS components. * Experience managing and certification in Windows or Linux OS. * Extensive knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and controls. * Ability to work independently and in a professional manner. * Secret Security clearance or higher or ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
