Operations Manager with Security Clearance

The Operations Manager is the senior manager for uniform services contract who will be responsible for directing the security workforce at the Wallops Flight Facility (WFF). With local authority to act on behalf of his/her company through planning, organizing and controlling all site work operations. * Provide technical and management direction for personnel working under contract* Organizes, directs, and manages operational support functions, involving complex and project tasks* Interfaces regularly with clients* Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and provides deliverable items * Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines* Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format and provide feedback to higher authority* Self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team* Must be able to muti-task in a fast paced environment* Performs other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * Must be at least 21 years of age* Possess and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance * Completed NASA Federal Arrest Authority Academy * Pursuant to a government contract, this position requires US citizenship status* Meet and/or exceed medical/physical requirements to include Physical Agility Test* Possess a bachelor''s degree from an accredited university or college in Public Administration, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Contact Management, Security/Law Enforcement Management, or related fields* Prior experience as a NASA Protective Services Supervisor maybe evaluated in lieu of the educational requirements. * Must have at least five years of experience within the field of security and in providing advice and assistance to the management of a protective force and or security related organization of similar size. * Should have experience in labor relations, logistics, communications and armory operations. * Maintain all certifications, weapons qualifications, required licenses. * Must speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English* Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications* Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications* Ability to write legibly, using proper grammar and spelling* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, public safety other employees and the general public* No person convicted of or under indictment for a crime of domestic violence is employed in any contract position requiring the carrying of a firearm* Obtain/Maintain final government approvalAbility to perform essential job functions while complying with all state, federal or local COVID mandates with or without reasonable accommodation.
