This is where Chapter Next can be part of your solution. Chapter Next is a 12-16 week paid returnship hosted by RMS. Candidates who have taken a professional career hiatus for at least 2+ years will be eligible to apply to this program. During this returnship participants will become part of a community of similarly experienced professionals with challenging work scopes that contribute to the great innovation produced by Lockheed Martin. Selected candidates will be exposed to comprehensive training, professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and individual based mentoring Our goal is to provide the fundamental tools needed to be successful in your career field, and to potentially prepare you for an opportunity to join Lockheed Martin full-time. Fields of focus will be diverse across the program and include functional and technical opportunities. This returnship position is for an Engineering Planner Engineer and will be located in Moorestown, NJ. The selected individual will contribute to the organization in the following ways:• Develop, status, and analyze complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in sufficient detail to monitor progress• As a Cost Account Manager (CAM) for technical tasking, you will need to develop approaches for working in partnership with the technical team to collectively plan, status, and drive program execution. The technical team / technical leads will retain technical responsibility in these joint activities.• Develop recovery plans, in partnership with a technical lead, to ensure program milestones are completed in accordance with the contract requirements• Perform independent schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning• In conjunction with Program Finance and Planning, you will develop/maintain Earned Value Management System metrics and provide monthly status and analysis• Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and coordinate vertical and horizontal schedule integration between schedules, the IMS, and the Program Summary Master Schedule• Assist in product planning - demand projections for staffing of program activities on parallel program activities for which you have responsibility • Mentor junior planners within the organization, building ''bench strength'' and advancing the quality of the team• Serve as liaison by maintaining, publishing, and presenting relevant planning and scheduling information and metrics to provide visibility and communicate potential issues to management and engineeringBasic Qualifications:• Must have 5+ years of relevant program planning, or IMS plan-driven leadership experience• Experience creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule, at a product or program level• Cost Management experience• Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearanceDesired Skills:• Familiarity with ClearCase, ClearQuest and/or git• Familiarity with the Atlassian tools such as JIRA• Bachelor''s Degree in STEM discipline• Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM) or equivalent experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)• Certified Agile Product Owner or Scrum Master • Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional team• Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team• Strong communication, writing and presentation skillsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
