Active role in closing the books including, departmental expense accruals and labor cost allocations. Partner with operations managers to identify opportunities to invest in the business and reduce costs. Actively participate on various cost reduction focused Kaizen events. Responsible for all capital spend tracking and reporting. Backup to Plant Controller as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with coordination and consolidation of budgeting, forecasting and long range strategic planning across the site; includes development of financial models to support and standardize processesPerform ad hoc financial analysis for projects as assigned, including but not limited to, NPV and Payback calculations on investments, labor efficiency performance, cost leverage opportunitiesBook month end journal entries including but not limited to inventory, capital assets, expense accrual, labor cost reportingPerform monthly inventory and accruals reconciliationAssist in overall tracking and recording of State reimbursable costsCollaborate with analysts at other sites to share best practices, problem solve, and align on accounting practicesProactively work with operations management team in identifying problem areas and providing inputs to resolve issues as appropriateAnalyze departmental spend and review directly with department managers identifying areas where improvement is neededWork directly with department managers regarding proper forward forecasting of spend as well as annual budget developmentParticipate / lead operations finance projects as requested by Global Operations Leadership team.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEBachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years experience in finance/accounting requiredAdvanced Excel experience requiredOracle Hyperion experience required, and related query tool experience a plusExperience in FP&A teams or Manufacturing / Operations finance preferredStrong analytical and communication skills, detail and deadline orientatedAbility to multi-task and manage multiple prioritiesWORKING CONDITIONSDynamic fast-paced cross functional team environmentHYBRID working environmentLI-GR1LI-HybridWe are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
