Relocation assistance provided.The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for unloading and receiving raw materials, receiving various parts and supplies, staging raw material batches for production, staging and shipping finished product to customers and distribution warehouses, maintaining warehouses and docks in clean and orderly condition.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off of palletsOperates forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materialCompletes weekly, monthly, quarterly cycle counts to aid in inventory reconciliationOperates stretch wrapper and floor scrubberPosition lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areasPerforms routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, recharging batteries, fueling or replacing liquefied-gas tankLoads and unloads materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, or vehicles, such as trucks or ocean containersReads work orders and receives oral instructions to determine work assignmentInstalls protective devices, such as padding or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transportedAttaches identifying tags or marks information on packages or pallets of productFills out various forms related to product inspection, receiving, storing, staging and shippingPerforms daily and weekly housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the warehouse areasFollows company safety rules and uses appropriate PPE and safety gear providedFollows plant and regulatory work and safety rules, including the appropriate use of personal protective equipmentThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
