We are currently hiring.About This Career OpportunityThe Culinary Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing, preparing and servicing of meals, nourishments, and refreshments in collaboration with the consulting dietitian. Responsibilities also include:Prepares appropriate special diets to meet residents needsPrepares and coordinates food for special event and activities.Develops, monitors and maintains quality standards for the storage, preparation and presentation of foodMeets regularly with resident food committee and solicits feedback and ideas from residents regarding quality, variety and type of meals servedCreating recipes and menu cycles, adjusting to reflect the needs and interest of the residents as well as seasonal opportunities Implements quarterly food service surveysInventory management and control of food and supplies to meet budget, including routine assessment of quality and price of purchasesMaintains all food service department standards and requirementsDevelops and implements sanitation schedules for production areas, equipment Develops and implements a safety program to ensure proper working conditions and use of equipmentProvides supervision and training for all culinary service staff members Are You Qualified?Here''s what you need:Culinary degree preferredFive years experience in institutional food preparation and service and two years supervisory experience required.Possess a current First Aid CertificationWorks beyond normal business hours, weekends, holidays and severe weather situations when necessary.Good written and verbal communiation and organizational skillsExcellen interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work in a diverse team environmentAbility to communicate effectively, both oral and written, in the English language''Equal Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status''PI188885928
